Girls JPD Video
Here's a small sample of the fun which some very fortunate
girls had on Saturday and Sunday as they participated in
the free 2009 Girls only JPD camp at Giants Stadium.
Not only did they get a chance to hone their gridiron skills
but they had a great time doing it !

it's a good time to take
a look back at 2008's
game of the year : the
championship game
between
Port Richmond and Ft
Hamilton. All of the

Rough and rugged games don't get any closer or better than the
one played Saturday night between Teaneck and North Bergen. In
the first half both teams showed moments of brilliance on both
sides of the ball but couldn't maintain consistent momentum to
dominate their opponent. In the second half Teaneck stepped the
intensity of play up but tenacious North Bergen, who at times lead
the game, kept the score tight. It was the kind of game which could
have swung either way at any given moment.
As the game approached the end of the fourth quarter the score
was tied in spite of the great effort put in by both teams. With the
crowd on the edge of their seats Teaneck's James Hoover trotted
onto the field to kick for the go ahead score to bring Teaneck it's
first win of the season.
Game Shots are now posted.

Each September New York's PSAL
introduces a fresh crop players to
the Varsity level throughout the
league. Some make an impact on
the next level while others simply
grow into the kind of players which
are steady and reliable work horses
that deliver on a consistent basis.
Since we've always gotten quite a
few requests to cover JV games
within the PSAL we thought it would
be a good idea to cover at least one
Junior Varsity game this season.
So we headed out to the recent JV
contest between two of the Bronx's
football powerhouses: Truman and
Lehman. To be sure we weren't
disappointed as both teams played
with all of the tenacity and electricity
which will serve them well at the next
level. Game shots have been posted!

championship game at the end of the season. This is especially true of seniors who are getting
their last bite at the apple. This is doubly true when teams have the potential to be contenders
for the crown.
So, come the end of the season when battle hardened teams arrive on the doorstep of Giant's
Stadium for the biggest game of their high school careers they're dragging loads of adrenaline,
fervor and bus loads of fans.
The first weekend of December saw several division titles go up for grabs so keep you eyes on
these pages as we bring you our coverage of those games!
